Bouncing Back or Springing Forward?

Trees are budding, flowers are blooming…but are we? How do we begin again? For some of us, branching out is easier, for others growth is painful. And still others are perennial, coming back again and again. Our UU hymn #387 is a chant: The Earth, the Water, the Fire, the Air; Return, return, return, return. Which element are you, and how will you return? Join Paula Gribble in examining the ways we return to things, people, and places in our lives.

Festivals of Light

Join us on Zoom here.

We celebrate the light of our chalice, and all the traditions that light our way. Join us for Festivals of Light, a wonderful multigenerational service centered around all the Winter Holidays (Christmas, Solstice, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and more). We will explore how each of these traditions matter to us as Unitarian Universalists, and enjoy wonderful music!

Backpack Blessings!

Join us on Zoom here.

Writer Mahathi Anand said, “Explore the unknown, with a backpack full of desire, intention, and curiosity.” What’s in your backpack? Have you ever gone back to a backpack or bag after a while and found cool things or reminders of memories? Celebrate the kickoff of this year’s Faith Engagement Program with a multigenerational worship including a ritual blessing of backpacks, briefcases, and bags. Bring your own bag!

Holding on to Letting Go

Our lives are a rollercoaster. Some of us are in the seat at the front with our hands raised, squealing with great joy. Some are in the back seat, letting the rest of the cars pull them along. And some are in the middle, trying not to feel too overwhelmed by the movement. All seats are valid places to be at different times. Come join the ride as Paula Gribble explores these ups and downs, and how the power of commitment, safety, and surrender all play a significant role in our lives.

Explore, Grow, Engage!

There is no final frontier! We keep growing and learning as long as we choose to engage. Join us as we lift off our Lifespan Faith Engagement Program for the year. In community, we boldly go where some have gone before, though what we learn and how we learn may be the new frontier. In the words of Captain Picard, “ENGAGE!”
