Community Outreach Work (COW)

The Community Outreach Work (COW) team promotes UUCCH values by providing members and friends with opportunities to reach out and support communities in our area with various collections and service projects, including the following recent activities:
Collections drives:
- Weekend food bags for food insecure kids (in support of The Neighborhood Center in Camden)
- Winter clothing for Camden homeless (in support of Joseph’s House)
- Holiday toys for children in need (in support of Sacred Heart Church in Camden)
- School supplies for children in need (in support of The Unforgotten Haven)
- Feminine hygiene products collections in partnership with Womyn & Religion (in support of The SPOT period)
- Food for Cherry Hill Food Pantry (ongoing)
- New and gently used books for Book Smiles (ongoing)
Service Projects involving UUCCH volunteers:
- Parent’s Night Out youth service project making center pieces for Cathedral Kitchen
- Working at the Cherry Hill Food Pantry
- Planting trees in Camden County with the NJ Tree Foundation
COW meets monthly, in person and on Zoom, on the first Monday of the month at 7PM. We welcome suggestions and new members to our group. To find out more, email us at COW@UUCCH.com.
