Welcome to the wonderful world of Faith Engagement at the Unitarian Universalist Church in Cherry Hill (UUCCH).

Families of all types and sizes, and people of all ages are welcome at UUCCH!  It is our hope that everyone will feel accepted here, and that children and families know they are a vital part of this congregation.

The mission of the UUCCH Lifespan Faith Engagement Team is to guide and support the congregation in creating a safe and nurturing environment for the exploration of spiritual, ethical, and religious growth. We endeavor to facilitate the intellectual, physical, and relational development for all ages in the congregation. We commit to always carry out this mission through the lens of our Unitarian Universalist Principles and values.

Age Groups

Some of our programming is age-separated, and sometimes we take the opportunity to connect and be together across the ages. Look for the following distinctions in our listings:

  • Nursery – Infants through age 5
  • Children – Ages 3 through 18
  • Junior Youth – Grades 6-7
  • Senior Youth – Grades 8-12
  • Young Adult – Ages 18 through 40
  • Adult – Ages 18 and up
  • Older Adults – Ages 60 and up
  • Multigenerational – ALL Ages (unless other distinction is listed)

This year, our programming will have two main groups- children up to age 10 and youth age 11 and older. Follow the links to learn more about our programming for younger children and our programming for older children and youth

Sunday morning Faith Engagement programs for Children and Youth begin on Sunday, September 24. All children and you must be registered in order to participate; this is a health and safety requirement. Parents or guardians may register their children online here, or using a paper form that will be provided at a table in the Commons on Sundays.

ADULT PROGRAMMING

We have a diverse set of classes and offerings for all stages of Adult Engagement, including specific offerings for Young Adults (18-40) and Older Adults (over 60). As UUs, we know that ongoing development is a core belief. We offer a variety of engagement opportunities including interactive classes, discussion groups, book studies, body practices, and more.

CHILDREN AND YOUTH PROGRAMMING

In addition to welcoming our children and families during worship, we strive to offer programming and events in the church that will broaden your experiences here, including a Back to School event, Family Fun Night, Holiday gatherings, Lock-Ins for youth, and more.

As far as Sunday mornings go, you have many options for your family. First, you are always welcome to attend worship together. The service is always broadcast into our Commons area (right outside of the sanctuary) if you choose. Your children are also welcome to join their peers in their faith engagement programming. FAMILY EVENTS

Throughout the year, we offer opportunities for families to gather and connect in a social setting outside of Sunday mornings.

  • Halloween Party
  • Game Night
  • Parents’ Night Out
  • Holiday Party
  • Lock-In for Jr. and Sr. Youth

More than anything, we’re thrilled you chose to look at our programming, and hope to see you soon in person! It is the people of the congregation that make it come to life, and we’d love to have you and your family be a part of UUCCH.

If you would like to know anything more about our programs or have any questions, please feel free to contact our minister Rev. Margret A. O’Neall at minister@uucch.org.
