Sing and Share

On this glad Christmas morning, we gather at 10:15 in Fellowship Hall for a potluck Christmas brunch, sharing stories, singing familiar carols in the warmth of community.

Candles and Carols On the Labyrinth

Due to the predicted cold weather on Christmas Eve, the 8 pm Candles and Carols service will move indoors to Fellowship Hall, and at the end we will process out with our candles to sing Silent Night in the beauty of the Labyrinth. Music handouts will be provided, and candles for sharing the light. Everyone is welcome, please bring a mask for singing indoors, and dress for the weather if you want to process outside with us at the end.

Festivals of Light

Click here to join us on Zoom.

Festivals of Light is a wonderful multigenerational service centered around Faith traditions and Winter Holidays with the message of light (Christmas, Solstice, Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, and more). Join us as we learn how each of these traditions honor the light, and connect to us as Unitarian Universalists. Paula Gribble will lead this service, but you will also hear from many other voices (of all ages), as well as wonderful music. Come and celebrate the light!

Juneteenth Matters – for Everyone

It’s the newest national holiday. It’s a day to commemorate the liberation of enslaved people in America. It’s been a huge celebration for the black people of Texas since 1865. But how should we, as white people, descendants of those who supported and benefitted from chattel slavery, honor this day? It’s a party in the black community – but do we have a right to join in?

Carols and Candles on the Labyrinth

Our voices lift to celebrate the season with caroling in the frosty air, in the beauty of the Labyrinth. In a tradition that dates back centuries, we will keep it simple, joining our voices in beloved music of the season. Music handouts will be provided, and candles for sharing the light. Everyone is welcome, please wear a mask, dress for the weather and bring your own chair if you want to sit.

Season of Love

Join us on Zoom here.

In a season of darkness, we celebrate a season of love, bringing song and story to life the dark with our virtual Christmas Eve service for all ages. Gather on Zoom to enjoy the special pageant with our children and youth, along with readings, stories and music to brighten the season with love. Have a candle handy as we join across virtual space to share the light.

This is a Zoom-only service.

Endings and Beginnings

Entering the High Holy Days, Jewish tradition reminds us that our lives are woven of endings and beginnings. Over and over we find ourselves making space for what might be — releasing the past and renewing our commitments to life. As summer draws to a close, and we cycle into a season of renewal, let us prepare to deepen into what is best within us, and to embrace what might unfold.
