The Morning Philosophy Group

The morning philosophy group, a tradition started by Rev. Rudy Nemser in 1985, meets in the Horsch Room (currently via Zoom during the pandemic) starting at 10 AM every Wednesday for an hour and a half during the church year . The group has a fall and a spring semester series of meetings. A fresh book is chosen for each semester’s discussion. Douglas Hofstadter and Daniel Dennett, The Mind’s Eye.

Although the group’s title includes the word “philosophy” the topics entertained are far more inclusive also embracing psychology, ethics, science and the practicalities of living.
All are welcome; no scholarly credentials are required.
