The Renovation Task Force is pleased to report on construction progress made in the past week.
In the interior, installation of wiring above the sanctuary ceiling continues. One exciting addition this week was the installation of framing for the raised chancel floor. The shape of the chancel is unique and will be a special point of interest in the room. Structural steel has been delivered for the audio-visual wall behind the choir. Finally, sheetrock panels for the Commons space have also been delivered.
The East Terrace footing and piers are in place and the framing ledger has been bolted to the existing wall. Structural steel has also been delivered for the East Terrace project. If you are visiting the grounds or the labyrinth, or attend the Sunday at the Arb gathering, it is fun and easy to follow the outside progress.
The Task Force will continue weekly reports. As they are received, photos of the progress will also be made available. Here are photos of this week’s progress. Thank you for your continued support.
