Since fall migration has mostly gone by, our focus for this ‘first of 4’ sessions will focus on WINTER birds – what you can see in your backyard, and in local birding “hotspots” such as Palmyra Nature Cove, and of course at the UUCCH Arboretum! We will also share tips on backyard bird feeders, how to prevent squirrels from eating all of your bird seed and are happy to answer any questions you might have. And you will learn the top reasons why people get hooked on bird watching!
Hope to see you on Zoom 12/6,
Sharon
PS: You can find our latest list of birds seen at the UUCCH Arboretum by clicking the links below:
Saturday 9/21 list: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S59974611 17 species
Friday 9/20 list: https://ebird.org/view/checklist/S59974346 15 species
Please note that when you look at the lists, if you click on the name of the bird species, a new window will open with pictures and information about that bird species – very useful!! Here is an example: Take a look at the cedar waxwings to see the detail on this beautiful bird.
