Board Recognition February, 2023 – Fellowship Groups

These groups could be considered a cornerstone and guidepost to our UU faith because they provide an opportunity for participants to build relationships. These relationships are built through the deep sharing of thoughts, feelings, and experiences. By listening respectfully to the reflections and opinions of others without judgement or debate, participants broaden their perspectives, develop trust, and benefit from shared wisdom. The empathy and deep listening skills developed in Fellowship Groups lead to many deep and rewarding friendships, as well as to the strength and health of our church community.

In small groups guided by facilitators, people with different beliefs and perspectives share of themselves, learn from each other, and seek to deepen their understanding of what it means to be human.

Fellowship Groups at UUCCH affirm and promote:

  • Listening
  • Respect
  • Honesty
  • Tolerance and acceptance
  • Open expression in a safe atmosphere
  • Diversity without divisiveness
  • Welcoming new participants

…..all reflecting our UU Principles.

The Board of Trustees honors the work, purpose, and continued growth of our Fellowship Groups.
