In our continual effort to be good allies, The Reparations Task Force of UU Cherry Hill urges members and friends to participate in one of the following events honoring Juneteenth on June 17th.
Cherry Hill – CHAACA (Cherry Hill African-American Civic Association) presents the Juneteenth Parade and Festival. A parade starts at 10AM beginning at Brace and Boltons Landing Roads to be followed at Crofts Farm with vendors, food trucks, and music until 5PM. Contact Rohn Hein at rohnahein@gmail.com.
Collingswood – The Borough of Collingswood and the Collingswood Community Diversity Equity and Inclusion Committee will celebrate Juneteenth in Collingswood on June 17 at 2:00 pm with an outdoor event in Downtown Collingswood celebrating our diverse community while showcasing art and culture of the black diaspora. Woodbury – Gloucester County NAACP sponsors the Annual Juneteenth Celebration at Stewart Lake Park on June 17, 2023. This fun, family-friendly event will be a festival elevating Juneteenth throughout the state of New Jersey. It will feature unique entertainment, music, food, and dancing. Burlington City – CHAI Community Development Corporation is proud to present Burlington Freedom Day 2023: A Juneteenth Celebration to be held at the Riverfront Promenade on Burlington City’s beautiful waterfront on June 17th and 18th 2023 from 2-7 PM. with great music, food, vendors, and our Kid’s Zone that includes FREE lunch as well as FREE crafts, games, and activities for all of the children.”
