In late January & early Feb, we will have an opportunity again to volunteer at the Cherry Hill Food Pantry at 910 Beechwood Ave.(near Rte 38), Cherry Hill.
Don’t know much about the Cherry Hill Food Pantry? We have a great website created for us by Rowan students at www.cherryhillfoodpantry.org. Check it out!
COVID Considerations: Everyone must wear their mask. We have extras if you need. Clients stay in their cars. Our new Pantry is quite large & well ventilated & social distancing is easy.
We help client families by filling carts with food & helping out at the Pantry as needed. Some of us are walking the carts to client’s cars & others filling cars with food. Please let us know if you can work outside. We have covering.
We must mention that some volunteers will be needed outside. We will need 6 people for each Thursday morning session and people for each Tuesday evening session. Unfortunately, we are unable to accept High School or younger students to help at this time.
The shift times are:
- Tuesday eve from 5 to 8 pm.
- Thursday morn from 10 am to 1:15 pm
The dates and times are:
- Tues eve, Jan 24, from 5:00 to 8:00 pm
- Thurs, Jan 26, from 10:00 am to 1:15 pm
- Tues eve, Jan 31, from 5:00 to 8 pm
- Thurs, Feb 2, from 10 to 1:15 pm
Please let us know which date you can volunteer.
We have been given our own dates & are not sharing with another congregation since UUCCH has done so well, so if there is any way you can come help, please, do that!
Thanks for your continued support of our Pantry with food, money, & time. It is so very appreciated by the 500 families who get groceries from us. We are so proud to represent our church in a varied Religious Community. Please, contact Sue Camlin at scamlin1@comcast.net if you can help.
Take care.
Yours for Love Through Action,
Sue (& Felix)
