UUCCH Affirms the 8th Principle

We have updated our UU Principles and Sources page to be clear that UUCCH affirms the Proposed 8th principle:

Journeying toward spiritual wholeness by working to build a diverse multicultural Beloved Community by our actions that accountably dismantle racism and other oppressions in ourselves and our institutions.

In June 2020 the membership of UUCCH voted to commit to actions essential to dismantling systemic racism and other oppressions and the ongoing work to be accountable for our actions in meeting the Principles and Purposes of Unitarian Universalism.

UU Principles are designed to be responsive to our changing world.  In accordance with Article 2 of the UUA Bylaws, a Study Commission is currently review Article II of the UUA Bylaws, and propose any revisions that will enable our UUA, our member congregations, and our covenanted communities to be a relevant and powerful force for spiritual and moral growth, healing, and justice. This Commission is to be submitted for consideration by the Association in 2022.  Learn more:
