6th-8th Grade

Junior Youth Group (JYG)

Room 101/102 (basement) of the Hillside building

6-8th graders are building UUVille as they learn about the history of Unitarian Universalism and its 7 principles. This group will discuss good decision making and ethical living through a curriculum called, "The Gospel According to the Simpsons."
Like all children and youth programs, the 6-8th graders begin in worship for the first 15-20 minutes of class. After the Time for All Ages, this group will gather to engage in their lesson.

As the Junior Youth Group experiences early adolescence, it is our hope that religious education gives them the opportunity to explore their beliefs and find their own unique identity. Service projects, fellowship events and overnights are being planned for the year.

Grades 9-12 in H202, Hillside Building

Youth in high school (grades 9 through 12) make up the group known as YA. YA stands for Youth/Adult and signifies the joint leadership of the group by the youth and their adult advisors.

YA! Is active on Sunday morning and in social justice and fellowship activities scheduled throughout the year.
Once a year the YA group plans a worship service which is shared with the entire congregation on a Sunday morning, many find this to be a highlight of the year.
