The Green Team
The Green Team, an outgrowth of the Environmental Task Force, is active in many environmental projects during the year. Our projects include recycling at UUCCH, hosting a green coffee hour to promote healthy eating, joining in tree plantings in Camden and cleanups at the Palmyra Nature Center. We also helped to initiate the UUCCH Solar Energy Task Force, which resulted in the installation of over 400 solar panels on the UUCCH grounds and buildings. We continue to explore various ways to reduce our carbon footprint and collaborate with other environmental groups in Cherry Hill, New Jersey. Annual Earth Day events give us a chance to show our appreciation for the wonderful world that we live in and to work to protect it.
Thanks for joining us in Honoring Earth Day, 2012!
